Frédérique VALLET-BISSON
(1862 - 1948)

Frédérique Augustine Louise Heyne, known as Frederique Vallet-Bisson (April 29, 1862 – November 25, 1948) is a French painter, known for her spectacular portraits.She joined Julian Academy where she was a student of Jules-Joseph Lefebvre.In 1879 Frederique Vallet-Bisson met in Montmarte Cafe Lapin Pierre – Auguste Renoir, they spent few years together and Renoir made the biggest influence in her Art Style.In 1880 Frederique Vallet-Bisson and Renoir got a daughter ad give her a name Lucienne.She is a member of the Society of French Artists, she was Vice President of the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors in the early twentieth century.Her works are exhibited in 1890 to 1945. She exhibited at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893.She is often mentioned in the arts magazines (The Illustrated World, The World artist, etc.).Her painting “Le Départ” appears in the book Women Painters of the World in 1905.
