“False Memories” is inspired by the human mind’s ability to guard itself from negative experiences and rewrite memories. The painting is the artist’s visualization of protective totems inhabiting the human unconscious mind, which is a continuous subject of hers. The three figures depicted in the painting are presented as safekeepers. They are partly dissolved into the abstract surroundings while firmly holding together a structure of protection and confidence.
