DHL ON DEMAND DELIVERY
- Our shipping partner, DHL, offers you the flexibility to make changes to your delivery while it’s on its way to you using DHL On Demand Delivery (ODD). Whether you need to schedule a delivery for another day or remove the signature requirement, ODD makes it easy for you.
Once your order has left us and is with DHL, they will contact you via SMS and/or email to let you know when to expect the delivery. If ODD is available in your location, this message will also contain a link to the ODD site. All you need is your tracking (shipment waybill) number.
Here’s a few options you can select to customize your delivery:
Schedule Your Delivery
If your estimated delivery date doesn’t suit, you have the option to select another date within 5 working days.
Where available, you’ll also be able to select a timed window to receive your order.
Signature Release
If you’d prefer not to sign for your delivery, you can remove the signature requirement. Please note that if you choose to remove this, ArtSTAC and DHL cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur once your order has been delivered.
Leave With Neighbour
Request for your order to be left with your neighbour by providing DHL with their house number and any further instructions. Please note that if you select this option, ArtSTAC and DHL cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur once your order has been delivered.
Collection from a DHL Service Point or Parcel Locker
If you won’t be in for your delivery, you can choose to pick this up from DHL Service Point.
DHL ODD will show you the nearest DHL Service Points, so you can select which one works best for you. They’ll then contact you to let you know when it’s ready to collect and how long you have to pick up your delivery. Please note that if the parcel is not collected within this timeframe, it’ll be sent back to the DHL depot.
To collect your parcel from a DHL Service Point you’ll need to bring two forms of ID:- A photographic ID (e.g. passport or driving license)
- Your email/SMS notification from DHL
- Vacation Hold
Still on vacation? You can request DHL to hold your delivery for up to 30 calendar days for you.
Where available, you’ll also be able to select a timed window to receive your delivery.

How do I buy art on ArtSTAC?
To buy an artwork, you have to click on the button « ADD TO CART » which is found on all artwork pages. You will then be redirected to your Cart. Once you have clicked 'Proceed', we will ask for your details to
organize delivery, and then ask you to choose your method of payment (Card , Paypal, Apple Pay or bank transfers). Once the payment has been processed, you will receive confirmation from our payment processor, Stripe.In case you don't see the button «ADD TO CART». Please contact us: art@artstac.com

Returns & exchanges
Our goal is of course to make sure that you have the best experience with ArtSTAC, but we never know what might happen. Here are a few possibilities:
I've changed my mind or I don't like the artwork anymore... What can I do?
That's a shame, but it happens! You have 14 days after delivery of the work to let us know. We will organize and cover the costs of the return. You will be refunded once the artwork has been returned.
The artwork was damaged when it arrived. What should I do?
Contact us as soon as you notice the damage. Take photos to show us the current state of the work and we will make a decision together.
According to the extent of the damage, we can either repair the work, or you can return it and you will be refunded. ArtSTAC covers the costs of repair and transport in case of damage during delivery.Who pays for return costs?

Packaging
The works are packaged by our specialist of delivery and take care to make sure the work is properly protected. Painting is shipped in custom made plywood box.
After the payment has been processed, delivery takes 2-3 days on average, which leaves time for packaging and shipping.
Depending on the destination and the size of the work, we use delivery company DHL.
Lucien Hector Jonas was born on April 8, 1880 in Anzin, France to a family who owned a large distillery. He received his bachelor of letters in June 1898, continuing his studies in Valenciennes with Joseph-Fortuné-Séraphin Layraud and also studying the violin for seven years at the Conservatoire de Valenciennes.
In 1899, he entered the School of Fine Arts in Paris. In 1900, he was finally admitted and, throughout his school years, he began developing a reputation for his work. He became a member of the Society of French Artists in 1901. Around 1902, Jonas also worked in Albert Maignan’s studio and the two formed a lifelong friendship.
At the same time, he met Henri Harpignies, who took Jonas on as his protégé, developing in him his attraction for nature, and for painting pleine air. On the death of his father, October 2, 1902, Jonas abandoned the Fine Arts to return to Anzin and, with his mother, helped to manage the family distillery which was later taken on by his brother. Back in Paris in 1903, he moved to No. 3 rue Lecourbe.
In 1904, he took advantage of his stays in Anzin and the vast warehouses of the distillery to paint large compositions, inspired by the life around him. He won a silver medal at the Salon of 1905 and three other prizes – the Chenavard, Trémont and Stillmann awards – encouraged him even more. Jonas won the second Grand Prix of Rome in 1905 (the first prize is not awarded that year).
In 1907, the king of Siam acquired one of his works, entitled ‘The Rouffions’, and hung it at the royal palace of Bangkok. On May 2, 1908, Lucien Jonas married Suzanne Bedorez, with whom he had three children: Pierre, Solange (wife of René Guillaume , magistrate) and Jacques. The couple moved to the Boulevard Raspail in Paris. In February 1915, he was approved as the “Military Painter attached to the Army Museum”.
From mission to mission, he traveled the front, from Belgium to the Vosges, then he was asked to paint portraits of military leaders, such French (March 15, 1915) and Pershing (August 14, 1917, currently at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York), Foch (the day after his appointment as generalissimo). In total, seven to eight hundred oils, and nearly four thousand drawings reproduced in large numbers in L’Illustration, Annales, Lectures pour tous and in the Allied newspapers.
In 1916, he was named official painter of the French Navy. He also gained success with his murals in the Art Deco style, including in Paris (House of Central) and Valenciennes (City Hall, Chamber of Commerce). In 1926, he was named Rosati d’honneur, in 1929, he was named a knight of the Legion of Honor. 1933 was the beginning of his collaboration with the Bank of France for the creation of banknotes, including the 10 franc Minor and 20 franc Fisherman.
In 1943, he exhibited seventeen major compositions on the life of the Virgin at the Spanish Church in the rue de la Pompe in Paris. In 1945, at the Salon des artistes français, he was awarded the medal of honor for painting a fourteen-meter-long fresco comprising some one hundred and twenty characters, entitled ‘Furor Teutonicus’. Lucien Hector Jonas died on September 20, 1947 in Paris, France.
